A catch-all feature that is enabled for a certain email mailbox will allow you to receive emails that are sent to email addresses that do not really exist. Otherwise stated, if you delete an email address and someone still sends an email message to it, or to any mistyped address under the same domain, you will receive the email in the catch-all mailbox. Using this feature means that you will no longer miss an email for any reason, which could be crucial in case you run some company, for instance. Since you may begin receiving unsolicited bulk messages, you can use the catch-all functionality with anti-spam filters so as to get only real email messages in your inbox. Only one single mailbox per domain name can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be set up for a catch-all mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Hosting

If you’ve got a hosting service with us and you want to enable the catch-all option for a specific email mailbox that you’ve got in the hosting account, it’ll take literally just a single click of the mouse in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia hosting Control Panel to do this. A catch-all button is available to the right of each and every email address that you have created under any domain name registered in your account. You can select one email address per domain by clicking the corresponding button. This will activate the feature instantly, so all emails sent to miswritten addresses will be received there. Clicking on the button once more will deactivate the catch-all feature. In case you have activated email forwarding, our system will exhibit a cautionary message and you will not be able to activate the catch-all feature until you remove the forwarding or you can simply select another mailbox to be the catch-all one.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

The catch-all functionality can be activated without difficulty if you have a semi-dedicated server account with us. All the email addresses that you’ve created using the domains hosted in the semi-dedicated server account will be displayed in the Hepsia hosting Control Panel’s Email Manager section and you’ll see a tiny sign conveniently located directly next to each one of them. With just one click, you can activate or deactivate the catch-all option for any mailbox of your liking as long as there isn't another mailbox under the same domain name with this option already activated and there isn't active email forwarding. Alternatively, you can right-click on an email address and enable the feature using the menu that will come into sight. If any of the prerequisites for setting up a catch-all mailbox is not answered, our system will let you know, but will not deactivate or replace anything automatically.
