Custom Error Pages in Hosting
If you buy a hosting service from us, you shall be able to set custom made error pages for your Internet sites easily, since this feature is part of all of our packages. Once you've created the files and uploaded them to your hosting account, you should check out the Hosted Domains section of your Hepsia CP and click on the Edit button for the selected domain or subdomain. In the pop-up that will appear, you shall see drop-down options menus for all four sorts of errors and for each one of them you could pick an Apache default page, a generic page from our system or a personalized page. In case you pick the 3rd option, you should only enter the URL to the file which you have uploaded then save the change. A different way to set customized error pages is to set up an .htaccess file in the domain or subdomain folder and to include a few lines of code in it. If you do not have prior experience or if you're just uncertain how to do this, you may simply copy and paste the code from our Knowledge Base article on that subject.
Custom Error Pages in Semi-dedicated Servers
Adding your personal pages for any of the four error types to any web site hosted in a semi-dedicated server account with us will be very easy and won't take more than a few clicks. After you upload the files to your account, you can check out the Hosted Domains section of your Hepsia Control Panel and edit the domains and subdomains listed there through an intuitive interface with drop-down menus. You may choose what page should show up for every error type. The choices are a default Apache web server page or a page from our system, and custom pages. Should you pick the aforementioned option, you must type the link to each page inside your account, then save the change. The link or the type of page that will be shown in case a user encounters an error can be changed at any time. If you're more experienced, you could use an .htaccess file to be able to set in-house developed error pages too, rather than using our integrated generator tool, and in case you choose this option, the file needs to be placed inside the root directory of a specific domain or subdomain.
